With a population of 20,402, Granite Bay is an unincorporated area of Placer County with top-notch schools, fun recreational activities and some of the regions’ most luxurious homes. Granite Bay covers 25 square miles. The area was originally known as “Granite Bar” during the 1950s as gold miners stopped along the American River.
